New Power Station Project Success
During the course of 2008 and 2009, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd have completed temporary sheet piling projects on a number of new power stations throughout the United Kingdom.
The four main schemes were:
- Drax Power Station for Morgan Est
- Staythorpe CCGT Station for Laing O'Rourke
- Isle of Grain CCGT Station of Laing O'Rourke
- Pembroke CCGT Station for Alstom Power and C.J. Haughey
On all of the above schemes, temporary sheet piles were utilised from Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd extensive second hand pile stocks which are in excess of 5000Te.
Commenting on the projects, Managing Director John Hull remarked "We have firmly established ourselves as the leading specialist piling contractor in the 'Power & Energy' sector. By utilising our extensive temporary pile stocks we have been able to act promptly and efficiently to changing requirements on all these schemes".
