Blue Marlin Weep Hole Filter System
The Blue Marlin Filter System is unique in its design to prevent erosion of backfill materials caused by transport of the fill material fines through the wall's weep holes and/or panel seams. The hydrodynamic pressure of perched water and seepage water causes loss of landfill without the proper erosion control system.
The Blue Marlin Filter System relieves this pressure and has an unlimited design life. Blue Marlin's filter is also designed for both new and existing seawalls, retaining walls and bulkhead walls.
New Applications

In new applications, the system may be installed at the time of the construction of the wall. The location of the Blue Marlin Filter System may be chosen by the designer of the wall to best serve the purpose of relieving the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressures on the wall.
This relief is important in that the design of most wall systems does not anticipate that the wall will be subject to pressures from perched or trapped water behind the wall in the backfill material.
The Benefit
The Blue Marlin Filter is a two component system consisting of an ABS plastic cylinder permanently installed seawalls/bulkheads and a replaceable filter element tube which can be inserted, locked in and removed for replacement purposes by the filter assembly tool.
Suitability
The unique Blue Marlin Weep Hole Filter System is suitable for the following:
- Hydrostatic Relief
- Seawalls
- Bulkheads
- Retaining Walls
- Sheet Piling
- Shoring
- Erosion Control
- Structures
- Weep Hole Relief

JET FILTER Wick Filter Drainage System
Our most powerful innovation yet!
The JET FILTER was created with our customers concerns of depth and protrusion in mind. The JET FILTER can be used for both new & retrofit applications in seawalls, bulkheads, retaining walls, & other erosion control structures.

Soil Erosion
Retaining walls are failing daily in all parts of the world due to the lack of proper erosion control. The JET FILTER prevents seawall failure by relieving pressure and allowing drainage while saving time & money on extensive repairs.
The JET FILTER relieves the hydrostatic pressures created by rain water as well as tidal surges trapped behind erosion control structures such as:
- Seawalls
- Bulkheads
- Retaining Walls
- Sheet Piling
Installation

The JET FILTER installation is quick & easy. Simply drill a 2 ½ inch core hole where directed on the sheet piling. The 4 self drilling stainless steel tap cons, make installation both fast & easy. Filters should be installed approximately 4 to 6 feet apart, slightly above the mean high water line.
The filter fabric equipped in this design, (Mirafi Filterweave 300) resists clogging while maintaining flow in dynamic conditions.
Properly maintained, the seawall will last a lifetime without major repairs.
