Silent Vibration Free Sheet Piling
Noise and vibration levels generated by conventional vibration & percussive equipment are not acceptable and cannot be tolerated in certain environmentally sensitive areas, such as town and city centres. In sites adjacent to hospitals, and structures housing sensitive computers or similar equipment, there is a growing demand for silent, vibration free, sheet pile installation and extraction.
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd. recognise this and have carried out numerous contracts using silent vibration free techniques, examples of which are featured in our brochure.
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd. own and operate the very latest 'state of the art' equipment, the Giken U.P. 150 Silent Piler, capable of installing and extracting Larssen sheet pile sections in the most environmentally acceptable manner, with no vibration and in almost total silence. The Silent Piler is effective in granular and cohesive soils. In dense granular, or stiff cohesive soils 'Water Jetting' techniques are used to assist pile driving.
Giken U.P.150 Silent Piler
The U.P. 150 Silent Piler is an hydraulically operated sheet pile press designed to install and extract a full range of N.K.K. Japanese Larssen sections and European "W" and "L.X." sections (500 & 600mm wide sections).
The machine operates virtually silently and totally without vibration, by pressing individual sheet piles into the ground, using as reaction, previously installed sections. The machine self propels along the pile line. (see diagrams contained in PDF below.)
