Drone Video of Sheet Piling at Island Barn Reservoir
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd are pleased to release a High Definition (HD) Video of the Marine Sheet Piling Works which are currently being undertaken at Island Barn Reservoir.
The sheet piling works are being undertaken for the Costain, Atkins and Black & Veatch (CABV) joint venture as part of their framework agreement on the Thames Water Eight2O Alliance.
The drone video shows the initial setup of the Unifloat Pontoon from a temporary sheet pile jetty which provides a transition from land to water based activities for the works. The pontoon is then moved into position across the reservoir using a workboat.
Further drone videos of the actual sheet pile installation works on the project will be released on the Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd website in due course as the work on site progresses.
The sheet piling works, which are to provide a cut-off wall through the reservoir embankment puddle clay core, which is leaking, are due to be completed in late October 2017.
