World’s First Long Reach Telescopic Leader Rig
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd are delighted to announce the launch of the world’s first Long Reach Telescopic Leader Rig, which can offer huge savings in time and cost to any infrastructure project requiring sheet piling installation.
The TM 12/15 LR boasts several benefits over competing rig units, such as a maximum horizontal reach of 8.1m, maximum vertical reach of 3.9m and maximum driven or extracted pile length of 16.0m.

The TM 12/15 LR has been designed specifically to reduce enabling works when installing sheet piles within an existing cutting or embankment earthworks slope, providing significant savings to cost and time.
In fact, for a typical 100m long sheet pile wall, the extended reach of the new rig could result in a saving in the region of £40,000 to £60,000 on enabling earthworks before sheet piling can commence.
The extended reach of the TM 12/15 LR doesn’t mean that power is compromised though, as it retains the powerful MRZV 20VV vibratory hammer and Euro Stage IV emission engine of the established telescopic leader rig system, giving an extraction force of 175kN and crowd force of 100kN.
This unique, state of the art installation rig is designed to make sure that key deliverables are achieved on every project, while providing reduced construction costs and programme durations.
The rig is currently being manufactured by ABI Equipment Ltd and Sheet Piling (UK) will be taking delivery of the rig in 2018, with exclusivity on the concept design until the end of 2019.
