Safety Management Advisory Services [SMAS] Accreditation
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd are pleased to confirm that the specialist Sheet Piling Services company is now SMAS Accredited. SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services) is a dedicated Health and Safety assessment company and a member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum.
The SMAS Health & Safety Certification Scheme provides complete management of contractor health and safety assessments and pre-qualification requirements.
Since the launch of SSIP, many construction companies and principal contractors now adopt an SSIP approach to heath and safety pre-qualification and will only use contractors who hold a valid and in date scheme certificate issued by an SSIP Member Scheme.
Holding a valid SSIP Member Scheme Certificate means that a contractor has demonstrated their capability by meeting the SSIP core criteria. A key aim of the SSIP Forum is to reduce the burden and cost of health and safety bureaucracy across the wider construction industry.
The SMAS Health and Safety Certification is recognised by many of the major UK house builders including: Bloor Homes, Bovis Homes, Countryside Properties, Miller Homes, Persimmon Homes and Redrow Homes.
