Temporary Sheet Piling Success Continues

Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd have recently been successful in the award of 2no significant temporary piling schemes for Tamesis which is Joint Venture between Laing O’Rourke and Imtech Process.

Working on behalf of Thames Water at both Beckton and Crossness STW, Tamesis have been appointed to undertake major upgrading works at these historical treatment works.

Temporary sheet piling works for a variety of structures, including Final Settlement Tanks, Distribution Chambers, RAS/SAS Pumping Stations and various Pipe Trenches have been designed, installed and eventually extracted by Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd.

Currently, approximately 2000no temporary piles have been supplied to both schemes mainly from our own extensive temporary piling stocks, which have been supplemented where necessary by external sources.

In total the schemes require about 35000m2 of both sheet pile installation and extraction which will be carried out using SPUK’s fleet of specialist piling equipment.
