Junior Dance Team Sponsorship Continues
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd are delighted to continue their sponsorship agreement with Dance Envy (formerly Vicky’s School of Dance) and their junior ballroom dancers, who are based at the Rochester Dance Junction.
The 2019 season saw a lot of changes for the school, not least of which was a rebranding to become ‘Dance Envy’. This branding change took place alongside the appointment of a new principal, Katie Geddes who joined Vicky Branton, which helped lead the dance school to even greater success during the course of 2019.
The Dance Envy team began 2019 with a visit to Essex, for The Donaldson Memorial Invitation Day, taking a clean sweep of the leader board with 1st places in every category entered, covering both juvenile and junior sections.
March saw the dancers head north to Stoke and the Kings Hall, where all the teams achieved top 5 places in their categories. The Dance Envy juvenile 4 couple won their category outright.
April 2019 saw the junior dancers return to the iconic Winter Gardens and the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, not only dancing against the best teams in the country, but even teams who had travelled from as far afield as China! The juveniles made it through to the semi finals with the highlight of the weekend being the fabulous Showgirls Team, who made it through to the final, to be placed 6th in the UK.
May saw a return to the Kings Hall in Stoke for The United Kingdom Formation Championships where the Juvenile 4 couple successfully defended their title, returning home with the trophy yet again.
The 2020 season will see Dance Envy compete at the following events:
- The Donaldson Memorial Invitation Day
- WDC All European Championships
- British Formation Championships
- United Kingdom Formation Championships
