Sheet Piling (UK) Limited is a leading specialist Steel Piling Contractor and we are seeking to recruit key people to assist in the future growth of the Company
We are looking to increase our workforce following the successful award of several high-profile schemes securing works for the next 12-18months.
Currently, we are seeking to employ, Piling Foreman/Supervisors, Piling Operatives, Plant Operators & Plant Fitters (Pile Press, Cranes, Telescopic Leader Rigs).
The company is offering enhanced hourly rates of pay and a joining fee of £500 for all new PAYE employees (subject to conditions), usual employment conditions apply, including: pension; holidays; van; fuel card; guaranteed hours.
For those that prefer the sub-contractor/self-employed route, we can offer continuity of work, guaranteed weekly hours and fixed terms to give employment security.

Piling Foreman/Supervisor
Responsibilities and Core Skills
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with the H&S documents, reporting of incidents and near misses to line manager.
- Ensure production targets are achieved, including production of relevant documents i.e. daily diary, installation records etc.
- Ensure a quality product is produced, without defect compliant with drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work throughout the UK & Ireland.
- General awareness of current H&S regulations.
- Good knowledge of Loler & Puwer Regulations.
- Ability to undertake daily briefings, incl toolbox talks & safety alerts.
- Good communication skills liaising with client and internal departments.
- Able to manage and lead a small team of operatives to achieve goals.
- Must be able to interpret construction drawings and implement them.
- Minimum competencies required.
- Lift Supervisor
- Slinger Signaller
- First Aid
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- PTS (desirable)
Telescopic Leader Rig Operatives
Responsibilities and Core Skills
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with the H&S documents, reporting of incidents and near misses to line manager.
- Ensure that the telescopic leader rig is operated in-line with manufacturer instruction, and defects are reported.
- Ability to work throughout the UK & Ireland.
- General awareness of current H&S regulations.
- Good knowledge of Loler & Puwer Regulations.
- Experience operating telescopic leader rigs (desirable).
- Minimum competencies required.
- CPCS Category Piling Rig Driven (above 20 tonnes)
- First Aid (desirable)
- PTS (desirable)
Plant Fitters
Responsibilities and Core Skills
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with the H&S documents, reporting of incidents and near misses to line manager.
- Ensure plant is maintained in-line with manufacturers recommendations.
- Reporting of defects and where necessary quarantining plant until repairs have been undertaken.
- Ability to work throughout the UK & Ireland.
- General awareness of current H&S regulations.
- Good knowledge of Loler & Puwer Regulations.
- Experience maintaining & working with heavy plant, ideally from the piling industry but not essential.
- Flexibility to work between workshop and site with limited notice in order to react to breakdowns & repairs throughout the UK.
- Relevant competence/training accreditation.
